Sheltered Accommodation - Chesterton

The history of the flats in Chesterton dates back to 1463 when Reginald Ely left money in his will for almshouses. Three further gentlemen, Henry Wray (1634), Joseph Merrill (1805) and Thomas Jackenett (1899), did the same and, in 1971, these four charities were combined and the resources invested in 30 almshouse flats in Chesterton.

Following a further merger The Foundation of Edward Storey took over the ownership and management of New Court and Cannon Court in Chesterton on 1 April 2009.

Unlike the other sites accommodation here is provided for both men and women. There are 30 one-bedroom flats all with warden services.
